If you have a serious thing for multiple gadgets in one when it comes to the things you place on your desk, this 4-in-1 webcam combines plenty of gadgetry. It also has nice bendy arms to get each individual part in its perfect spot for your comfort. There is a bit of a down side though, to get the microphone close enough to your mouth, the webcam would be broadcasting up your nose. Which isn’t a huge deal, it just means if you want to use the microphone, you’ll have to flip off the webcam.
In addition to the webcam and microphone it also has a fan as well as a light attached to it. The LED lights also have a dimmer switch, to make the bright white lights a bit less harsh. It would definitely clear space for people with all four of those gadgets on their desk. Hopefully the fan is powerful enough for those overly sweaty moments. It is currently being sold on Brando for $23. Which means all of the gadgets aren’t likely to be the highest of quality.

These Crunching Dogs do endless sit-ups when you plug them into your USB port. Do they ever stop? No. Is there an off switch? Nope. However there is some kind of satisfaction to be had at watching a tiny dog tirelessly exercising on your behalf. It almost makes us want to leap from our desks, forgo electronics and computers and start doing jumping jacks… but then again that’s where the trouble started with the Humping Dogs.

According to the Radius site, the Atomic Bass is the “Official Headphone of the Hip-Hop Genre”. That has got to be one of the toughest slogans to prove, and I highly suggest they test its tonal balance on several hip-hop artists before they make that claim.
However, after listening for myself, I definitely hear how good they are. The clear sound might have something to do with its unique shape. You can’t really see the angle in this photo, but it causes the headphone to penetrate the ear deeper. It almost feels like an ear plug the way it can cut off background noise.
The headphones also have another unique look. Normally, when headphones branch out, the sections are equal. The Atomic Bass has a unique U-style of cable, and so one is not equal length, yet each earphone can fit either ear. I’m surprised that someone hasn’t already covered this particular gadget yet, because it is definitely one of the coolest gadgets that I have seen in quite a while.
We have covered stories on Microsoft’s Surface, a touchscreen mounted on a coffee table frame. The Sphere is the next step up from the flat display, as the user interacts with something round, for a change.
The Sphere is prepared for the next generation of 3-D interactivity and viewing. It is the perfect viewer for watching footage from cameras with a 360-degree view. The user can then “spin” it to view it from any angle.
The user can also “spin” the globe function, just as they could a real globe. I can imagine their version can do a lot more than a regular one.
As for a photo viewer, it works a lot like a touch screen viewer, but on a big ball. In fact, if you place and keep your hand on the photo, it automatically transports over to the other side of Sphere.

Microsoft is going to showcase the Sphere today, but it doesn’t look like it is going to be available anytime soon. However, with something as cool as this, how could you not resist rushing the development? I want to be able to grope this big bad ball by CES 2009.

Remember the nailgun from Quake? I just love the way the nails hit against the wall, but imagine what would happen if one of them actually struck the USB port of your computer? Well, that had better be loaded with a nailed USB flash drive then – after all, this is what we’re looking at today. The USB flash drive itself is made from polyurethane and iron, featuring a paltry 1GB memory capacity which isn’t really sufficient for today’s needs. At €29.50 a pop, it is really more expensive than it should be, but the novelty value is well worth the price.

No, this swinging USB microSD memory card reader doesn’t go around fornicating with just about any other memory cards in the market, but is faithful to just the microSD format throughout it’s lifetime. In the tech industry, I find myself with lots of flash drives lying around my desk, press releases and information is being given more frequently on flash drives than in the form of paper folders. Some of the drives I get have the company name on them; some don’t which makes it hard to remember what data is on them until you plug them in. Steampunk is one of those trends that makes me extremely sorry that I haven’t the slightest bit of crafting skills to make my own steampunk gadgets. Purely because steampunk is usually very expensive, so unless you can make your own most of us will never get our hands on any of our own. This one was created by a Russian modder who posted his project in a forum for us all to drool over. He’s nice like that. He even crafted a box to display it in. He doesn’t give a single bit of fun details on how long it took or what he used.
Granted the little that Babel Fish attempted to translate didn’t exactly translate that well. I can mostly tell what he was getting at. One nice thing is he does give a before picture of the original mouse that he built around. He even had his cat pose with the mouse for a quick snapshot. I always manage to find one little detail that bothers me to no end on steampunk mods though. For example this one, I dislike the way he covered up the original mouse cord. Yes, I’m aware I’m entirely too picky.

Microsoft does not only dabble in software, they do have their fingers dipped in hardware as well. Case in point, the range of notebook mice as well as the Microsoft Sidewinder gaming mouse. Today we have a leaked image of a new wireless mouse known as the Microsoft Arc. Scant information is available concerning the Arc at this point in time, but we do know that it features a rear half that folds in order to ease your storage woes when traveling. You will be able to pick up this interesting looking hardware this holiday season for $59.95 a pop.

Just to let you know, this Dancing Fingers product has nothing to do with a fun finger Dance Dance Revolution game that was reported on two years ago.
The Dancing Fingers is designed for those people who have fat fingers. This has nothing to do with a person’s weight, but just the uneven distribution of fat cells on the digits. Some of those operations on the iPhone, like the QWERTY keyboard, are quite small and it is difficult for someone with enlarged fingertips to make precise touches.
These Dancing Fingers are designed to fit snugly on the index and middle fingers, so now “fat-fingered” people can have some full touchscreen capability. No more of hitting the wrong letter anymore.
So far, the Dancing Fingers is just a concept device by China native Alfred Chu. I’m not certain why the Dancing Fingers have lights on them. Maybe that is for some sort of better interface, but I don’t see why longer and pointier fingernails couldn’t do the same thing as this product. I’m guessing that one girl from X2 with the long claws won’t need this product.
Actually, I have read on another site (my Source’s source) that the Dancing Fingers are supposed to turn your fingers into a computer’s mouse. Unfortunately, I don’t have any word on how that works.

H20 Audio, designers of things which make your portable audio devices waterproof, is out with a new waterproof armband which supports a variety of devices. It is called the H20 Audio Amphibx and prices are set around $70 for a medium armband and $80 for a large one.
The H20 Audio Amphibx offers up a latch style locking closure which the company says provides a 100 percent watertight seal up to 12 feet underwater. This is paired with a touchscreen-friendly window which allows for operation even underwater.
Other features of the Amphibx include a sealed connector compatible with standard 3.5mm headphone plugs and the ability to float even when a device is inside. It is available now.

Deep Home. Sounds kinda sinister doesn’t it? Sounds like a subterranean bunker. The specifications are pretty similar to what you can find from most PC manufacturers. It’s the external design that makes it stand out in an interesting way.
